His Life and Character:


Imam Nawawi lived a life of zuhd (asceticism), rejecting luxury and focusing entirely on knowledge and worship.

He never married and lived in extreme simplicity.

He was known to sleep little, eat very little, and dedicate nearly all his time to studying, writing, and teaching.

He stood firm on truth, even opposing oppressive rulers with fearless counsel.
