🧠 Who Was Imam Abu Hanifa?

Abu Hanifa an-Nuʿman ibn Thābit (699–767 CE) was a renowned Islamic jurist, theologian, and the founder of the Hanafi madhhab — the most widely followed school of Islamic jurisprudence today. Born in Kufa, Iraq, he was known for his immense knowledge, deep wisdom, and independent reasoning (ijtihad).

📚 His Legacy in Knowledge:

🔹 Hanafi Madhhab: Adopted by the Ottoman Empire, South Asia, Turkey, Central Asia, the Balkans, and more.

🔹 Pioneered Usul al-Fiqh: One of the first to systematize Islamic legal principles.

🔹 Trained Great Students: Including Imam Abu Yusuf and Imam Muhammad al-Shaybani.

🔹 Known for his fear of Allah, he once said:

> "I have never stretched my legs towards the house of my teacher, even though many walls stood between us."
