When we feel nervous, overwhelmed, or unsure how to express ourselves — remember this beautiful du’a of Prophet Musa (AS). It is a timeless call for strength, clarity, and divine ease.
Du’a
رَّبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي، وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي، وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِّن لِّسَانِي، يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي
Rabbi ishrah li ṣadri. Wa yassir li amri. Wahlul ‘uqdatam min lisāni. Yafqahū qawli.
“O my Lord, expand for me my chest, and ease for me my task, and untie the knot from my tongue, that they may understand my speech.”
(Surah Ta-Ha, 20:25–28)
This du’a was made by Prophet Musa (AS) as he was being tasked to face Pharaoh — one of the most powerful and tyrannical rulers in history. Yet his first instinct wasn’t to ask for power, victory, or miracles. He asked for inner strength, ease in his journey, and clarity in communication.
Sometimes, the greatest miracles begin in our hearts — through confidence, calmness, and conviction in the mission Allah has assigned to us. Let us also begin our day with this prayer — may it bring peace and courage to all of us facing our own personal “Pharaohs.”
Recite this du’a often when preparing for interviews, speeches, or any moment of self-doubt. Let Prophet Musa (AS)'s wisdom guide you into the arms of Allah’s mercy and ease.
