This Budget Egg Fried Rice is a go-to comfort dish, made with simple ingredients you already have at home. Whether you're a student, a busy worker, or just trying to eat better on a budget — this one's for you!

This was one of the first dishes I learned to make when I started cooking for myself — simple, cheap, and comforting every single time!

 Ingredients:

2 cups of cooked rice (leftover rice works great!)

2 eggs

1 small onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp soy sauce (check for halal-certified)

1 tbsp oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: chopped veggies (like carrots or frozen peas)

Instructions:

1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions and garlic.

2. Add the eggs and scramble them.

3. Add the cooked rice and mix well.

4. Pour soy sauce and season with salt and pepper.

5. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes and serve hot.

Tips:

You can add chopped chicken sausage or tofu if you like.

Leftover rice makes the texture better!
